  40.          Demon Internet are taking their second exhibition stand this
  41.          year at the masive Networks 94 show at the NEC Birmingham June
  42.          28-30.  We have a modest 6.5m stand on which we will be
  43.          demonstrating dial up and 64K connectivity, World Wide Web,
  44.          Mail, News etc.  People will be able to sign up at the show and
  45.          buy modems, books etc..

  48. Leased Lines
  49. ============

  51.          Lower leased line prices:  We are offering a low cost 64K
  52.          leased line service - Only #2,500 for the first year plus BT
  53.          charges and setup charges.  This works out at only about #6,400
  54.          in Central London for the first year and only #4,500 per year
  55.          afterwards.  Please ask us for our leased line information
  56.          pack.  Offer closes 31st August 1994.

  59. More Phone Lines
  60. ================

  62.          We are experiencing ferocious growth and have been placing
  63.          heavy demands on our suppliers including BT.  We have over 100
  64.          extra telephone lines on order spread across every PoP.  The
  65.          first 32 of these were installed in London in the last week of
  66.          May.  Another 32 will be installed in June as well as 6 extra
  67.          at most PoPs.

  70. JANET/JIPS Peering

  73.          We are very pleased to announce that we have reached a peering
  74.          agreement with the JANET/JIPS UK academic network and have
  75.          ordered a 384K leased line to ULCC.

  78. Points of Presence
  79. ==================

  81.          April 1994 saw the Reading PoP (Point of Presence) come online.
  82.          During May the Yorkshire QuadPoP with local phone calls for
  83.          Leeds, Hull, Bradford and Sheffield has been installed.  The
  84.          Sunderland PoP which additionally gives local call access to
  85.          Newcastle and Durham went also into beta test in the first week
  86.          of May.

  88.          Cambridge and Saffron Walden PoPs were due during late May but
  89.          we are waiting on Cambridge Cable to sort out their lines.  The
  90.          Birmingham PoP looks like being delayed to late June as BT have
  91.          to do a lot of roadwork to get the cable to the site.

  93.          A PoP for the Isle of Wight has been commissioned and the lines
  94.          are on order.  This is expected to be available during June and
  95.          will give local call access to Portsmouth and Southampton.

  97.          A PoPs for Bristol is in negotiation.

  99.          Further PoPs are always being considered.

  102. Transatlantic Bandwidth

  105.          Our transatlantic line was upgraded to 256K from 1st May with
  106.          compression to 512K to follow later.  The existing 64K line is
  107.          still in place as a backup and backup routing will remain
  108.          although not necessarily by this route.

  111. POP3 Server
  112. ===========

  114.          We are offering a POP3 Mail Server Service from May.  This is
  115.          Post Office Protocol and is ideal for the user who travels the
  116.          world or who would prefer to use a POP3 Mail Server rather than
  117.          an SMTP one because thats what their mail software uses.  This
  118.          service costs #25 to join and #180 per year.

  121. World Wide Web

  124.          We are offering a World Wide Web server so that companies may
  125.          make their information accessible on the Web.  We offer space
  126.          for #25 per month for up to 5Mb with discounts for larger space
  127.          and a full design and consultancy service.

  135. What is Demon Internet?

  138.          Demon Internet provides a gateway to the worldwide Internet.
  139.          The service started in June 1992 and by May 1994 has over 5,000
  140.          members with over 800 people joining every month.

  142.          The standard service gives direct full Internet connectivity to
  143.          your desktop.  Even more powerful services are available which
  144.          allow you to connect a complete network via a leased line or
  145.          reserved dial up line.  Services start from just #10 per month
  146.          with no online or usage charges.  Please ask for an info pack
